VACANCY - DEPUTY TOWN CLERK
Pershore Town Council is seeking to appoint a committed and forward-thinking Deputy town Clerk to assist the Town Clerk with the full breadth of the Town Council duties on a day-to-day basis and to deputise for the Town Clerk in her absence.
Pershore Town Council is at the centre of a thriving local community and holds Quality Gold Status in the Local Council Award Scheme. The successful candidate will have experience of office systems, be familiar with researching and gathering information and be capable of using their own initiative. Candidates should also have reasonable knowledge of local government law and procedures experience of budget and project management and either hold the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) or be willing to work towards achieving the qualification within 12 months.
Attendance at evening meetings will be required along with working occasional weekends.
The post is 37 hours per week with a salary grace LC2, SCP 24-28 (£35,412-£39,152) depending upon qualifications, together with membership of the Local Government Pension Scheme.
