This is the full course for CiLCA, we no longer offer individual units - the course must be signed up for as a whole.  The course fee includes all the required units and is covered Bi-monthly over a 10 month period.  July to March 2025

Employment - The Latest on Legislation Changes

October 2024 sees the introduction of new statutory obligations for council's to prevent sexual harassment of their employees. Furthermore, October will see the introduction of new entitlements for locums and other staff working on fixed term contracts, to request that the contract be extended for a longer term or made permanent.

To enable Councils to respond to these new entitlements, as well as bring them up to date with new employment laws that are planned, WALC and Worcs CALC are facilitating this one hour Zoom call with Chris Moses, LLM Chartered FCIPD, Personnel Advice and Solutions Ltd.

Webinars are given by Roger Taylor, a consultant solicitor with Wellers Hedleys.  He has been advising local Councils for over 40 years in all aspects of practice and procedure.  He is the current editor of Local Council Administration and the Clerks Manual and advises a number of County Associations and other local council organisations  He gives webinars on specialist subjects relating to local councils.
