10:00	Finance for Councillors Zoom This session is for councillors only and is designed to give them a greater understanding of their duties with regard to the council’s finances.
18:30	CANCELLED CLERK TOOLKIT 8: Review Zoom This presentation draws together the previous seven toolkit sessions with an end-of-term quiz! Come prepared to shine. Questions include these examples- What do the initials RFO stand for? Where does the model publication scheme come from? What is the latest date by which the precept demand can be submitted? The questions will remind us of the topics we have covered and give you the opportunity to ask questions, especially the ones that pop up during your working day. We shall also look at how the toolkit topics tie in with the CiLCA qualification. Open only to Member Clerks and Council Officers. Earn: 1.5 CPD Points

10:00	On Your Marks Clerks Zoom We know there will be local council elections on 4^th May 2023. Elections don’t come round that often, so it helps to have a reminder of what to do. Even if your council has never had an election there is potential for that to change, which might be a scary prospect. But don’t run for the hills just yet, here’s your chance to get to grips with what to do. In this 2-hour session we will: Identify the election procedure Ensure key dates are diarised Establish who needs to be on speed-dial Take stock of the election paperwork Get ready for the post-election frenzy Prepare the essential documents your new council will need. 10:00	Year-end & Audit - Receipts & Payments accounts (over £25,000) Zoom For officers who want to understand how to prepare their council’s Annual Governance & Accountability Return on a receipts and payments basis and comply with the requirements of the audit process. There are alternative sessions for: Councils under £25,000 Councils that prepare Income and Expenditure accounts This session introduces the Annual Return and the stages of the audit process, enabling you to complete all the relevant steps correctly.
