The session will cover an introduction to local council administration, the various meetings, differing roles of clerk, chair and councillors. Plus agenda, minutes, code of conduct, standing orders, financial regulations, legal powers and the internal and audit process

Ruth Mullett ruth@worcscalc.org.uk  07967 501943 Ruth has been a Parish Clerk since 2007 when she joined Hunnington Parish Council in Worcestershire and the previous year taking on Romsley the adjacent parish. She is also locum for Worcestershire CALC, as well as undertaking various other locum roles in the past .Ruth is Associate Trainer for Worcestershire CALC and Warwickshire CALC and a member of the Internal Audit Team. She is passionate about local government and the parishes she is clerk to, as the first tier of local government it is wonderful to see what a difference can be made in our communities. She is also a member of the Society of Local Council Clerks and has been elected to represent Worcestershire on their Forum. Ruth is CiLCA qualified and has obtained a First Class Level 6 BA Hons Degree in Community Governance in partnership with the SLCC and De Montfort University.
