CLENT PARISH COUNCIL

Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

Applications are invited for the position of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Clent Parish Council.

Clent Parish has around 500 households and the clerk’s duties will include correspondence, preparation of agendas and minutes, annual budgets and audits, email and website along with communications to and from councillors and the effective management and prompt payment of contractors and suppliers.

The clerk will be expected to work from home and attend the council’s scheduled monthly meetings, every third Monday in the month, for a total of 30 hours per month.

Support will be given for training towards qualification if required and the salary (pro rata) will be as per the national pay scales for Parish Clerks according to NALC (National Association of Local Councils) but will depend on experience.

WYTHALL PARISH COUNCIL

Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

Applications are invited for the position of Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer to Wythall Parish Council.

Wythall Parish has an electorate of 9,500, being the largest parish council in the Bromsgrove area.

The Council’s expenditure budget for 2019/2020 is over £200,000 managed with an annual precept of £130,000.

The job holder will be expected to work from the Parish Council’s office Monday to Friday approximately 20 hours per week plus evening meetings. The remuneration is based on the national pay scale LC2, SCP 20 to 28 (£25,295 - £31,371 pro rata).

The council will support training and encourage obtaining the CiLCA qualification.

The Clerk will be expected to oversee the work of the Parish Council’s staff and contractors who work for the Council on a regular basis, including the Lengthsman and Grounds Maintenance Contractors.

We are looking for someone who appreciates the variety of work required of a Parish Council Clerk. The role requires competencies in:

Day to day accounts.

Project Management and asset management.

Managing Meetings and Committee Meetings, to include preparation of Agenda, taking minutes, issuing notices to attend.

Preparation of annual audit.

Responsibility for risk management and regular risk assessments.

Preparation of newsletters and social media interaction.

General office administration.

Regular interface with members of the public.

The council holds the Local Council Award Scheme Quality Award.

NORTH BROMYARD GROUP PARISH COUNCIL

Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer

North Bromyard Group Parish Council would like to recruit an experienced Parish Clerk and Responsible Financial Officer.

North Bromyard Group Parish Council covers the Parishes of Edvin Loach and Saltmarshe; Tedstone Delamere; Tedstone Wafre; Upper Sapey and Wolferlow.

North Bromyard Group Parish Clerk’ duties will include correspondence, preparation of agendas and minutes, annual budgets and audits, email and website updates, along with communications to and from councillors and the effective management and prompt payment of contractors and suppliers.

The Clerk would work from home but be required to attend the 6 Parish Council meetings a year which are usually held on the last Tuesday bi-monthly alternatively at Upper Sapey Village Hall and Saltmarshe and District Hall and occasional Planning Meetings.

The salary (pro rata) will be as per the national pay scales for Parish Clerks according to the NALC (National Association of Local Councils) national pay scales for part time clerks but will depend on experience.
